Robert Kilker

Dr. Kilker’s research covers film genres, Classical Hollywood, auteur theory, feminist film theory, and television studies. He has published a feminist reading of Kubrick’s The Shining entitled “All Roads Lead to the Abject: Gender Boundaries and the Monstrous Feminine in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining” which appeared in Literature/Film Quarterly. He currently serves as the chair of the Culture & Media Studies Interest Group, and is a member of the Literature and Composition Interest Groups, as as well as the Recruitment and Composition Assessment Committees.

Dr. Kilker is the host of the Tuesday Talkback Film Discussion Series at the Arts Quest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA.
